VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India.

VAM Systems is currently looking for Integration Architect – Consultant for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:

Educational qualification & No. of Years’ Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems

  • 3+ years in Architecture areas,

  • 5+ years in major computer system implementations, change management, large group facilitation, and/or major analytical or research studies.

Technical Competencies

  • Business Applications: Insurance, Campaign Management, CRM/Customer Service, Identity and Access Management

  • Software Engineering: Microsoft Technologies (C#, .NET), J2EE, XML (XSD, DTD, WSDL), REST

  • Integration Technologies: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, SOAP, REST, WSDL, WebMethods

  • Modelling / Reporting Tools: Eclipse, Visio, XML SPY

  • Databases: Microsoft SQL, Oracle

  • Standards & Methodology: Agile, Scrum

Areas of Knowledge:

  • IT architecture

  • SOA Architecture

  • Real Time and Batch Integration Patterns

  • Web Service Design

  • Microsoft Technologies (.NET, SQL)

  • Experience of working with development teams and solution providers

  • Knowledge of Project Management

  • Knowledge of modeling tool (ex. Visio) and artifacts UML, XSD, WDSL

  • Good experience in documenting and executing requirements

  • Basic knowledge of the insurance business

Main Accountability

Tasks assigned to this level require an in-depth and broader understanding of problem identification, analysis and resolution, as well as architecture patterns and methodology.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Define the solution architecture when applicable with special focus on cost optimization and integration (user interface, services and data)

  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of the IT applications, looking proactively for simplification and sharing options while providing the day to day support to the relevant projects, involving when needed transversal architects.

  • Analyze and model the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software.

  • Identify, analyze and document customer business functions and processes.

  • Track and fully document changes for functional and business specifications

  • Define, assess, document, and develop technical requirements

  • Provide Support to Development Teams

  • Define Service Oriented Architecture Specification

  • Get Knowledge of the Current Integration Requirements

  • Analyze Needs for New Projects

  • Map Source Data and Operation Model provided by the Back Ends with Canonical Model and Specific Interfaces required by the project

  • Maintain and define new methods accordingly with project use cases and best practices of service granularity and naming conventions.

  • Maintain model and documentation updated in a UML /XSD / WDSL repository

  • Design functional requirements

  • Document, and Orchestrate the Integration Delivery Process

  • Contribute to project plans

  • Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality

Communication & Interactions:

  • Coordinate with main IT actors, define and follow through on the actions

  • Coordinate with integration solutions vendors

  • Contribute to building efficiency gains through implementation of best practices
