The purpose of this role is to monitor day to day activities in SEO and/or Online content; typical tasks will include:

Blogger/Webmaster Outreach
• Find and build relationships with bloggers, social media influencers, organizations, and new sites
• Participate and engage on social media sites
• Contribute ideas in content brainstorming sessions
• Promote content online
• Research and identify potential high quality advertising partners
• Test, prospect, and plan to help the team be more efficient and successful
• Communicate with Argus colleagues to discuss planning, strategies, and results

Content Writing & Management:
• You must be a talented writer with an interest in travel.
• Regular Content Writing projects, include Blog Posts, Travel Guides, General Travel Articles, Sales Letters and Sales Content.
• Management of Online Content through Various CMS’s such as Joomla & Wordpress.

Technical Tasks:
• Onpage Optimisation of Content – Page Titles, Meta Description, SEF Url’s. (Minor Knowledge of HTML and Web Fundamentals an advantage).
• Creation of Spec documents for Development team, detailing manual SEO/Content tasks which require automation through the development of custom tools.

Analytic Tasks
• Use of Google Analytics, Omniture, & Analytics packages for tracking website traffic & conversions.
• A/B tests using Google Website Optimiser
• Data Analysis using Excel

Required for this role:

Education: Degree/Diploma with focuses on IT, Marketing, Journalism

Keyskills:
• Copywriting
• Proof reading
• Proficient use of Excel
• Web Analytics
• Keyword Research
• Coding (PHP, ASP, Python,etc.)
• Use of Databases (MySQL, etc)
• PR
• Very strong written communication
• A team player with self motivation and enthusiasm

Experience: Minimum of 1 – 2 years experience in SEO

The ideal candidate will be able to display experience in the below:
• A proven track record of writing persuasive copy that converts
• Experience managing a social media presence
• A love of running conversion rate optimisation tests or data driven tasks
• Knowledge of the basics of Internet marketing
• An ability to get stuff done (on your own or by delegating to and managing others)
