An opportunity has arisen for a Network Security Engineer to join our client, Ireland’s leading managed mail and security specialist.

This role would suit a motivated candidate with a proven track record in network security. For the right applicant there will be the opportunity to progress into a presales role.

As a Network Security Engineer you will be tasked with providing security and communications network systems engineering support to customers.

Joining the operations and support team, you will be responsible for installing, implementing and configuring systems at client sites. You will have the opportunity to use your strong theoretical background and substantial hands-on experience to solve any subsequent issues clients may have.

Your duties will include:

- troubleshooting networks and associated devices – driving operational excellence for Cloud Computing by providing technical engineering across implementation, incident resolution, product reporting and change management – providing exceptional customer service

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- experience with encryption and security software vendors, such as Symantec or McAfee – solid network security experience, including intrusion detection, firewalls, DMZ, Routers, VPNs, and common network level vulnerabilities – knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite and VMware environments – in depth knowledge of antivirus, Anti-spam, encryption, DLP, NAC, content filtering, image analysis, archiving and backup solutions

As a Network Security Engineer you must have a full driving licence. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills and a huge appetite for success.

Whilst not essential, pre sales experience would be an advantage to your application. Possessing a CISSP accreditation would also be beneficial.
