Full-Time Windows Administrator for Qatar

VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India.

VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Windows Administrator for our Qatar operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:

Skill Set required:

  • Familiarity with Networking topology concepts.

  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012 OS.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory concepts.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Server and supported clients (Outlook, WebApp, etc.) and mail concepts (SMTP, IMAP, POP3 etc.).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Lync Server, its basic concepts, and supported clients.

  • Develop & Executes PowerShell or Command Shell commands.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Threat Management Gateway.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Orchestrator.

  • Familiarity with Physical Server hardware and Virtual Environment (VMware / Hyper-V).

  • Monitors and maintains Windows Server operating system and additional server components including but not limited to Exchange, Active Directory, Blackberry Server, TMG Server, IIS Web Server, SCCM, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Lync Server.

  • Establishes and maintains automated patching for all Windows systems.

  • Applies patches to major subsystems and services, roles, and file system components within a Windows Systems environment and performs Operating System and patch testing on all changes prior to installation.

  • Establishes and maintains suitable resource and performance monitoring on all systems.

  • Experience in troubleshooting technical problems involving software and operating systems.

  • Controls system access and security aspects of critical systems.

  • Demonstrates in day-to-day work adherence to security best practices and access control and security policies.

  • Coordinating with Application teams for service planning and deployment across the organization.

  • Experience providing technical support in a customer service role.

  • Experience using patience, sensitivity and effective communication with a wide range of people, including the technically proficient and those with minimal computing experience or technical skill.

  • Experience writing technical documentation.

  • Experience participating in diverse workgroups.

  • Works remotely to provide 24×7 support on critical systems.

  • Demonstrates day-to-day adherence with change control precepts and practices.

  • Provides technical support and customer service directly to end users through ticketing system and periodically through screen sharing.

  • Works efficiently with minimal guidance from Senior or Lead administrators.

Experience required: 6 Years
