Full-Time Website Developer

Job Description

iSeek.ie offer web design/development, web hosting and domain name registration. We are looking for an addition to our growing team. We’re looking for a talented front-end developer with excellent HTML/CSS skills and knowledge/experience in WordPress. The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will be:

  • Developing responsive sites using CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript.
  • Maintenance of existing sites
  • Dealing directly with clients, solving issues and meeting deadlines
  • Work within a small team effectively and efficiently within a fast-paced development schedule.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

  • 2+ years full-time Web Development
  • HTML 5 (clean compliant code)
  • CSS3 (LESS, SASS or SCSS would be an advantage)
  • Responsive Design
  • Unconventional solutions such as Parallax Design
  • Scripting languages such as PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, etc
  • WordPress
  • UX skills / UX – understanding how users interact with website layouts and developing result-oriented interfaces
  • Experienced in full lifecycle web-based development: designing, building, implementing and optimising
  • Project Management – experience managing multiple projects efficiently – including scheduling projects, setting tasks and goals, costs and time management
  • A passion for code and the internet as great as ours!

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with flexible grid-based layouts (not only Bootstrap) and other HTML/CSS frameworks
  • Websites for mobile devices is desirable
  • Good knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics is a bonus
  • Photoshop skills
  • Experience with updating existing websites content and layouts
  • Other Content Management System skills and experience a bonus (MODX, Magento, OpenCart, Expression Engine, Joomula Drupal, etc)

An eye on the future – An understanding of how websites are evolving and what possibilities using the latest technologies such as JQuery, AJAX, XML, JSON, JSP, etc can offer.
