Full-Time Solutions Architect
Job Description
Our client a leader in the cyber security industry is looking to hire a Solutions Architech to join their team in their EMEA/APAC Cork office. The role consist of installing and deploying company’s product to helping train their team on how to sell a security service. Past experience as a very Technical Sales Engineer is a huge plus.
As a Solutions Architect for a high growth cutting edge Computer Security Company, the person who fills this role will need to be an expert with the creation, operation and staffing of a Security Operations Center. It involves defining and documenting proper processes and procedures as well as actually trouble shooting complex implementation problems.
You must be comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team and individually. Understanding the need to “close the loop” is critical to success.
Responsibilities
- Solve Technical Challenges related to the Installation, Deployment and Management of company’s product.
- Document, Escalate and Follow Through with Undesirable Product Conditions and/or Issues.
- Create, Revise and Publish internal and public facing Product Solutions.
- Interface with the Development, Engineering and Sales Teams
Qualifications
- 5 – 10 years increasing experience in 24×7 SOC / NOC or with a security products manufacturer.
- Knowledge of Open Source Security tools such as Snort, nmap, OpenVAS, Nagios, WireShark, NESSUS,NFDump, nTop.
- Experience as a System and/or Network Administrator.
- Working knowledge of various security methodologies and processes.
- Experience Configuring and Implementing security solutions (firewalls, IDS).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and analysis.
- Excellent customer interface skills.
- Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills explaining complex procedures.
- Ability to Communicate in a Professional, Friendly and Effective Manner.
- Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications.
- Programming / shell scripting experience highly desirable (PERL, Java, shell scripts, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge.
- CISSP Desirable.
- Extensive Trouble Shooting skills involved with Appliance Installation, Deployment and Usage in a Complex Network Environment.
- Previous Customer Facing role (Sales Engineering, Customer Service, Support, etc.)
