CarsIreland.ie is an award winning digital media business with a city centre location (near the IFSC). The exclusive focus of the business if to provide all our users (buyers and sellers) with a great online experience.

We seek a software developer to develop and maintain websites for our clients and to work on the CarsIreland.ie site. Your responsibilities
will include:

• Create, release and maintain external websites.
• Work closely with the marketing department in requirements gathering.
• Provide key input to website design and UI experience.
• Document detailed component designs based on business requirements.
• Clearly communicate technical designs, estimates, prioritisation and other development issues.
• Manage & deliver the software projects that are assigned to you.

With 3+ years experience you will be able to work independently to tight schedules. A degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred, or
equivalent industry experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be versed in:

• Web standards
• XHTML
• CSS
• PHP
• Relational database design
• Javascript
• Hands-on experience in UNIX or GNU/Linux systems
• Practical experience of software lifecycle

Ideally you will be aware of the latest industry developments such as HTML5, mobile, apps and social integration.
