Full-Time Software Developer
Job Description
We’re looking to grow our team in Cork as we expand our product set and customer base. We now need Software Developer who will work on enhancements to our product set.
Responsibilities
- Work with business and technical teams to develop technical requirements
- Develop new features in line with specifications
- Perform unit testing and support system testing
- Contribute effectively to business process improvement initiatives
Person Requirements
- Adaptable to constantly changing environment
- Problem solver – strong analytical ability and capacity come up with doing things more efficiently
- Self-motivated, driven and high performing
- Passion for the product and user
- ability to work under minimum guidance and capable to come up with end to end solution.
Experience
ESSENTIAL
- 2+ years experience in a similar Software Development role
- Knowledge and understanding of modern, web development approaches and languages
- Strong understanding of back-end/API connectivity
- Strong Database experience, understanding of NoSQL DBs is advantageous
- Experience of working in teams (including distributed/virtual teams)
- Excellent JavaScript, CSS, HTML knowledge + JavaScript frameworks, particularly AngularJS & NodeJS
- Server-side development experience
DESIRABLE
- Experience of using JIRA and other Atlassian tools
- Experience of working in/with the Higher Education sector
- Experience in Automated Test framework e.g. Protractor / Jasmin
- Experience using Grunt, npm
Salary is negotiable depending on experience
