Job Description

We are looking for a freelance linux sysadmin to provide technical support on a few email servers on an on going basis. The job requires general system administration while also dealing in English with a small number of technical support calls per week. Required skills: 1. Strong command line experience with linux OS’s. 2. An understanding of SMTP and DNS 3. Good understanding of mysql and an ability to hack around with PHP 4. An understanding of software source control, git in particular. The candidate would ideally have a minimum of two years experience of: 1. managing linux servers in a professional environment 2. managing linux email servers such as qmail, sendmail or postfix. The ideal candidate will may already provide similar services to other clients. This opportunity may suit someone working from home in the UK or Ireland.
