Innovatia delivers flexible Knowledge Services for telecommunications, IT and enterprise companies. We are looking for an Intermediate/Senior Technical Writer to work onsite in Galway to support one of our global customers. Our customers include several top multinational Fortune 500 companies. Relocation assistance may be available within Ireland.

- Technical background with experience in unified communications, data networking, Web applications, client/server architecture
- Proven record of on-time delivery
- Planning, developing, and implementing technical documents in a fun, fast-paced Agile environment
- Experience in a structured authoring environment with related tools
- Expertise in working with developers and providing professional recommendations that get results
- Proactive, independent communicator adept at working across multiple, geographically-dispersed teams
- Excellent project/time management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
A short list of what you’ll get to do
- Work with writing team to restructure content for multiple audiences
- Contribute to documentation plans
- Be an active participant in strategy discussions
- Collaborate at a high level with SMEs and writing team to share information and ensure technical and visual consistency across multiple document suites
- Manage multiple deliverables and fast-paced schedules
- Contribute to video scripts/work with multi-media expert in developing/validating end-user videos
Rock Star Requirements
- Excellent writing skills using North American English
- Quick to pick up complex technical concepts
- Mastery of minimalism in producing clear text from complex technical concepts and procedures
- Superlative written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in DITA XML (you’ll wow us if you have experience in XMetaL or Oxygen)
- Graphics and workflow diagram skills
- Working knowledge of Agile environments, and excitement about getting in the middle of the scrums
- Expertise in strategies to handle aggressive schedules that change in scope
- Creatively identify risks and mitigation strategies and collaborate with Project Manager to resolve
- Graduate qualification in English, Communications, Computer Science, or other relevant field
