CarsIreland.ie is an award winning digital media business with a city centre location (near the IFSC and Connolly Station). The exclusive focus of the business is to provide all our users (buyers and sellers) with a great online experience.

We seek a software developer to develop, support and maintain our client facing software for Windows. Your responsibilities will include:

• Spec, develop and release new features
• Work closely with the sales department in requirements gathering
• Provide key input to database design and UI experience
• Document detailed component designs based on business requirements
• Clearly communicate technical designs, estimates, prioritisation and other development issues
• Manage & deliver the software projects that are assigned to you

You will have a degree in Computer Science or similar and be able to work independently to tight schedules. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a keenness to learn new technologies, and will have at least 2 years experience in some of the following:

• Tcl/Tk
• HTTP protocol
• Relational database design
• PHP
• Security concepts
• Hands-on experience in UNIX or GNU/Linux systems
• Knowledge of software lifecycle
