Candidate profile
Purchasing/Materials qualification ie: APICS/IIPMM plus minimum of three years’ experience in purchasing electronic parts and components or similar is essential. Must be familiar with using MRP. Must have good communication and negotiation skills, excellent administration skills and good attention to detail.
Job Profile
This is a maternity cover contract position and will be anywhere from 6 months to one year in duration.
The individual in this role will need to be up to speed with little training so it is essential they have at least 2 or 3 years in electronic purchasing preferably from one of the larger electronic manufacturers ie: Jabil, Motorola, Celestica, Solectron etc!
You will be responsible for dealing with suppliers and organising the purchasing of required stock in line with production and test needs. They will use an in-house MRP system to calculate what parts and quantities to purchasing including subcontractor requirements.
You will be responsible for all associated administration and documentation including reporting and PO generation.
You will liaise with accounts, production and test when preparing inventory and stock reports via ERP system.
You will adhere to quality procedures and processes and work towards continuous improvement.
