Position: Audio Visual Technician Reporting To: Production Manager Business Location: South Dublin Company: Avtek Solutions Ltd Salary: 25-35K p.a Company Background: Avtek solutions are one of Irelands leading audio visual technical production companies established in 1994. Specialising in the corporate live event sector the business has an established reputation in the delivery of high end visual and audio solutions. Based in south county Dublin Avtek supports its customers locally, nationally and internationally. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will be someone who has a genuine interest in video, data or audio technology and who has completed a third level course in a related topic. You are a self-starter who works well in a team and is capable of using your own initiative as part of your job and wishes to develop your skills and technical experience. A number of years working in the entertainment or corporate entertainment industry would be an advantage for this position. A key part of the role will involve regular face to face contact with customers so you should be comfortable in dealing with customers and expect to make yourself presentable at all times. As English is the most commonly used language in our business the candidate should be able to speak and understand English to a high standard. You should also have a full clean driving licence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up & break down of audio visual equipment.
- Operation of audio visual equipment.
- Management of presentation content including PowerPoint, Keynote and other presentation technologies.
- Driving of company vehicles (a full driving licence required)
- Availability to work a five day in seven contract
- Overtime will form a regular part of this position
The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills.
- Positive, ‘can do’ attitude with a friendly and personable demeanour.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi task Attention to detail
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Education and/or Experience
- A minimum of leaving certificate, 3rd level college would be desirable.
- Two years industry work experience
- Experience of PowerPoint and Keynote would be a distinct advantage
