Analog Electronic Applications Engineer
Our client, rapidly growing specialist hi tech systems development company based in Dublin will look to recruit some additional applications engineers to join their sales team in Q1 of 2015.
Role purpose
Working as part of the Sales & Marketing team, the Applications Engineer is responsible for the technical interfacing with the company’s customers in terms of application support, customer technical requests, product user manuals and supporting materials.
The Applications Engineer will also play a key role in the research and development of new markets and applications for the company’s product range.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as the Internal technical expert within the company’s Sales team
- Development of value propositions for the company’s technical products
- Competitive analysis of our competitor’s products, and our relative strengths and weaknesses compared to them
- Develop technical proposals in response to customer requests
- Understand customer challenges when using our products, and suggest improvements to our product offering
- Provide technical support to customers using our products
- Responsible for technical content of Datasheets and User Manuals
Education, Skills & Experience
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent with preferably a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience though less will be considered if relevant.
- Experience in sales driven, technical customer support organization.
- The candidate must be willing to travel, up to 15% of time.
- Fluent English language, additional languages are a bonus.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with analog electronics, sensoring technology, filters etc and be willing to work in a dynamic, results-driven sale and support team. A strong customer orientation, desire to succeed and resourcefulness are key factors for success. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical/problem-solving skills as well as the ability to drive issues to closure.
Experience of analog electronics and familiarity with design challenges faced by analog designers is essential
Salary: eu45-55k plus benefits
