Linux Systems Administrator
at 3V Transaction Services Ltd. in Dublin (Published at 06-09-2010)
We require an experienced linux system administrator to assist in the support and development of our high availability systems infrastructure.
Ideal Candidate must have:
· At least 3-5 years experience administering a *nix infrastructure (ISP experience advantageous but not essential)
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Strong troubleshooting skills.
· Strong focus on security.
· Strong focus on best practice change and incident management.
· History of working in a PCI environment (experience with PCI-DSS a significant advantage).
· Fluent English both written and verbal.
Experience:
· Excellent knowledge of Linux system administration, including configuration, troubleshooting, and automation
(iptables, ipsec, rsync, LAMP, linux email solutions, asterisk)
· Proficient with at least two of the following scripting tools: bash, perl, awk, sed, php, vbscript
· Excellent knowledge of Internet protocols DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SMTP, SSL
· Networking and connectivity troubleshooting
· It would be expected that the candidate will have a very good working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol structure and
setup of networking infrastructure.
· Knowledge of Microsoft technologies (MS Active Directory, Windows XP, MS Office)
