IT Support Engineer – Onsite (Server, Desktop and Network Support)

Established in 1998, our client provides managed IT support and professional services to their customers. Operating from offices in Dublin and Galway, they were named the 2010 Outstanding Microsoft Voice Partner in EMEA. An opportunity has now arisen for an IT Support Engineer to join their team.

This is the ideal role for an experienced IT support professional, looking to further their career within an award winning company.

As an IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for visiting client sites in order to provide a wide range of technical support.

In this key role, you will be tasked with maintaining servers and PCs in addition to providing network maintenance, administration and support. Additionally, you will install and troubleshoot hardware devices. You will also identify any opportunities to upsell our client’s services where possible.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- A good understanding of PC and server hardware
- Significant IT support experience, including server, desktop and network support
- An excellent working knowledge of Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and XP

As an IT Support Engineer you must have excellent customer facing and communication skills. A proactive and self starting approach is also key.

Whilst not essential, possessing an MCSE would be an advantage to your application.
