Software Test Analyst / QA Test Engineer – Agile Development
Belfast
£24,000 - £32,000 DOE Plus Performance-Related Bonus, Excellent Benefits Package including Healthcare, Pension, Life Assurance, Gym Membership

Over 300,000 businesses use our client’s service to process e-payments, manage payment fraud and mitigate security risk. An opportunity has now arisen for a Software Test Analyst / QA Test Engineer to join their team.

This role would suit a software tester from an Agile development background looking to develop their career and work with leading-edge technologies and industry experts.

As a Software Test Analyst / QA Test Engineer, you will be responsible for working on world testing challenges of scalability, availability and fault tolerance. As such, you will develop and use your automation skills and apply them to using cutting-edge tools and technologies.

Working within their new innovation centre which is at the forefront of their global expansion plans and operates a truly Agile development environment, you will be tasked with:

- Preparing test strategies, plans and scripts
- Analysing, designing and building testing procedures
- Analysing changes and their impact on existing test timeframes
- Maintaining and monitoring the error log for all issues identified
- Participating in walkthroughs for new planned features of the application

To be considered for the role of Software Test Analyst / QA Test Engineer, you must have:

- Significant software testing experience
- Experience of testing within an Agile development environment
- Experience of using test automation tools
- Experience of testing non-GUI applications
- Experience of working with databases, such as Oracle, Sybase or MySQL

Although not essential, experience gained within a financial service, banking or payments organisation would be a distinct advantage to your application. Exposure to Linux/Unix, scripting languages or Java would also be beneficial.
