Senior Web Application Developer

QMS Software is an independent software developer, producing best-of-breed customer-care applications. These include the
leading Ulysses suite, an application platform for service, customer feedback, sales and IT Helpdesk management.
QMS Software is now looking to expand its Dublin-based development team with a strong web application expert that
can develop quality applications in a fast-paced environment.
The role: Senior Web Application Developer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality tools and applications to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain existing applications, implementing new features and fix bugs.
- Collaborate with other members of the team in design reviews, code reviews, etc…
- Meet with customers to gather requirements and ideas, resolve problems etc…
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing high quality web-based user interfaces and strong javascript knowledge (HTML, CSS, jquery etc…).
- Demonstrable experience in developing applications in C# using modern techniques (MVC, IoC, O/RM, Unit tests, etc…).
Desired experience
- Demonstrable experience with popular open-source .net development libraries (NHibernate, Castle project, Rhino tools…)
- Working familiarity with a modern MVC framework (Rails, Monorail, Django, ASP.Net MVC…).
- Experience in using SQL and relation database technologies an advantage.
- Experience of working in an agile development environment a definite plus.
