Production Planner / Scheduler
Castlepollard, Co Westmeath
€35,000 - €45,000 DOE

As an expanding manufacturing company, our client specialises in the design, development and manufacture of innovative, technical plastic mouldings. An opportunity has now arisen for a Production Planner / Scheduler to join their team.

This role would suit a talented planner or scheduler with a good understanding of the supply chain, looking to further their career with a leading name.

As the Production Planner / Scheduler you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and co-ordinating customer orders through the complete cycle from order acceptance to delivery.

This will involve scheduling the fulfilment of customer orders, as well as acting as the primary contact for customers for all order fulfilment and customer service issues.

Your duties will include:

- receiving customer purchase orders, accepting amendments as agreed
- planning and managing the production schedule to meet delivery requirements
- participating in the weekly production planning meeting and presenting analysis of sales forecasts
- monitoring daily production activities, taking corrective action as required
- liaising with purchasing and manufacturing regarding material status and production planning issues

To be considered for this position, you must have significant related experience in a role such as planner or scheduler. In addition to experience of running an MRP system, you must also have a good understanding of supply chain and materials management principles.

As the Production Planner / Scheduler you will also be required to demonstrate good analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships. A primary degree (or equivalent) is preferred.

An APICS/CPIM certification would be beneficial to your application, as would experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
