Analyst Quality Assurance

Purpose
Ensure that software that is developed meets the criteria set out in the functional requirements against the overall needs of the product /
application.
Participate in sections of single or multiple projects ensuring the solution/s developed meet both the projects' functional and business
requirements.
Ensure all testing processes and outputs meet the criteria for Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) level 3 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Using the requirements documents supplied by the QA Manager, write up high-level scenarios ensuring they are signed-off by
the QA Manager.
·Work with offshore partners in relation to test cases, ensuring the requirements of the test plan are fully understood and
actioned correctly.
· Conduct unit testing against set criteria in the test case, ensuring work is validated at the predefined gate reviews.
· Ensure defect tracking is logged in Quality Centre following SQACC standards.
· Provide detailed analysis of all testing carried out on the environment ensuring all bugs, risks and issues are logged correctly.
· Where required, raise issues in formal project meetings ensuring the PM and Architect are aware of outcomes.
· Champion SQACC standards for software development.
Education and Professional Qualifications
· University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar
Experience
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in a QA environment.
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrates a 'developing' level of knowledge and understanding in:
Demonstrating effective communication processes meeting demands of both SQACC Office of Technology Management
(OTM) and programme / project requirements.
·· Ensuring that knowledge is kept up-to-date with all relevant updates/releases to products
· Working knowledge of Mercury toolset
· Demonstrating good knowledge and understanding of testing market
· Knowledge of CMM/TMM useful
· Using ePM for change control, risks and issues
· Providing focused, accurate and exact data analysis
· Knowledge of min. 2 programming languages
· Theoretical and practical knowledge of object-oriented development approaches
· Strong software application skills (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
· Developing and maintaining documentation
· Ability to work under pressure
