Server Support Technical Specialist based in UK - Potters Bar, North London less then 20 miles or 15 minutes by train from London and within easy access of the M25, A1 and M1. As a server support specialist you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of Intel server hardware and associated applications in a large datacenter environment. Your duties and responsibilities will include maintenance, upgrading and patching of server hardware and applications (Windows 2000/2003 server including Active Directory, VMware, IIS, FTP, Anti- Virus etc), documentation, disaster recovery planning and troubleshooting all issues in the datacenter in conjunction with Dublin teams.

To get this role you will be available to live and work in north London, have 5+ years of related experience and have a MCSE / CCNA ideally and advanced knowledge and experience of Intel server hardware, Windows Server operating systems (NT4/Windows 2000/Windows 2003), Advanced knowledge of DHCP, DNS, WINS, Group Policy, Replication and VMware. If successful you will be interviewed for skills in customer services skills, Interpersonal and team working skills, proven problem solving and decision making abilities. This role will work onsite in the UK reporting to Dublin so you must be a self starter and be able to work autonomously. Previous experience in the financial services domain is a bonus.
