Software Integrator Full-time

Barlan Technologies is a software & technical infrastructure company based in Malahide, North County Dublin. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic software integrator to join the existing software development team. The development team is focused on practical application solutions using a cutting edge Model Drive Engineering technology platform.
The role will involve working directly with clients, senior consultants, project managers and developers to extend and implement solutions for Blue-chip and SME companies using our recently developed application generation technology which is based on the .NET platform.
Skills and experience in the following areas

Client Interaction
• Good communication skills to convey complex data modeling concepts and be able to project and describe scenarios to clients
• Be able to derive technical requirements from requirements analysis together with technical walk-through with clients
• Ability to understand data relationships and data modeling as they pertain to the client's business

Project Management
• Strong project management skills with particular emphasis on delivering clearly scoped work on-time, identifying problems early in the process
• Be able to manage the full cycle of a software project from analysis to deployment, data import and going living
• IPMA and/or PRINCE2 certification preferable

Database and Data Skills
• Strong MS Access and scripting (of language choice) skills for data migration
• Administration experience of MS SQL-Server 2005/2008 or Oracle e.g. setting up maintenance plans, analysing performance issues etc.
• Strong SQL skills including the ability to read/write stored procedures/UDF's.
• Ability to write complex queries in order to meet unique business requirements
• Good data manipulation including transpositions across multiple datasets using multiple key linking

Development Skills
• Familiarity with AJAX, Web Services, UML
• ASP.NET development skills including .NET 2.0/3.5 framework, C# based
• Ability to write CSS, XML, XHTML and Javascript
• Previous exposure to a software development/engineering role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual looking to specialise in leading edge SQL Server, .NET technologies and the building of n-tier scalable applications and increase their exposure to dealing with customers. Successful canidates should have a willingness to learn new technologies in order to solve project related issues and simply put, a can-do attitude. A BA/BS (Master's degree preferred) in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or other related field.
