Website Developer

Role:
As a Website Developer at Webtrade you will work along side our existing development team in a structured environment on web-based projects, mainly using Microsoft ASP.NET, Classic ASP, VBscript, SQL, and C#.
The role will involve working on a variety of challenging and interesting web based projects for a wide range of high profiled public and private sector organisations, with excellent career growth potential and R&D possibilities.
Key Proficiencies:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 yrs solid commercial experience developing websites and web-based applications with ASP.NET (on IIS) using an underlying database (preferably MS SQL Server). It is advantageous to have experience in ASP.NET / C# with Object Orientated design and development experience.
You should have direct experience on commercial web development projects involving database technology, including content management systems, retail e-commerce sites, Internet payment methods, and web security issues. You must have experienced managing the building, operation, and maintenance of Internet sites.
Essential Requirements:
• ASP.NET
• Database design skills (Particularly MS SQL Server)
• HTML / XHTML
• JavaScript / CSS
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
• Classic ASP
• C#
• PHP / MySQL
• Transact-SQL
• XML/ XSL
• WAI Accessibility Requirements/Standards
• COM / DCOM / COM+
Personal Profile:
• You have strong communication and problem solving skills and a thorough working knowledge of web programming & database functionality.
• You have a proven ability to understand customer needs.
• You have the ability to work to a deadline, both as a team member and when working alone.
• You are a flexible and quick learner and have the ability to research and adapt to new technologies.
